Objective: To lead the IT infrastructure team, ensuring our cloud services are reliable, available and properly monitored, while keeping costs under control.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a small DevOps team, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure in Azure and Oracle Cloud environments.
Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to support scalable and secure deployments in multiple environments.
Enable efficient and easy hosting of containerised applications on our cloud infrastructure.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
Collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
Ensure infrastructure security, compliance, and adherence to best practices and internal policies.
Participate in incident management and root cause analysis for critical system issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience in a senior-level DevOps role, including team leadership or departmental oversight.
Hands-on experience with either Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Having both is a strong plus, but not required.
Strong expertise in Terraform and managing infrastructure as code in production environments.
Proficiency in Docker and container orchestration practices.
Advanced Bash scripting skills for automation and system management tasks.
Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, and infrastructure design.
Experience with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across technical and non-technical teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with infrastructure and process certifications, such as ISO, PCI.
