Hi!
I'm Mr. Shark, the StartupJobs mascot. Thanks for stopping by!
As the senior chondrichthian in our office, it's my pleasure to offer a warm welcome and introduce you to our site.
We’ll take it in chronological order.
StartupJobs was founded in 2012. People speculated that this was to be the last year in human history, so Filip said to himself: "Well, better now than never!" and got started on making StartupJobs a reality.
Equipped with only a logo and an idea, Filip presented his concept to the entire Czech startup community on stage at Lucerna. He explained that he was working on a website aimed at connecting startups with job-seeking professionals (who would love to come work for them). The site then launched in a little over a week.
Now, there was no turning back. Programmed in just 12 days, the first version of StartupJobs successfully launches and attracts its very first candidate.
Surprisingly, the Earth is still spinning, and StartupJobs is growing. The successor to the British throne is born and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is in the cinemas. At StartupJobs, companies continue to publish their job offers as candidates continue to apply.
The average number of candidates per offer is four times higher than the previous year.
In the end of 2013, you can find about 160 active offers on StartupJobs.
The most popular roles are from IT.
2014 was the year of crystallography. I’m not sure what that means, but I do know this year we jumped to over 2000 job offers on StartupJobs.
The average number of candidates per offer is now nine times higher than a year ago.
Data shows that most candidates reply to job offers on Mondays. Coincidence?
In the movie, The Martian, Matt Damon plays a man who's left alone on a deserted planet. Fortunately, Filip is far from alone, as there are now eleven employees working for StartupJobs.
Our blog is now full of interesting articles about startup culture. More than 58% of users found startups more interesting after reading articles about the industry.
We discover several game-changing companies with great ideas (which we believe can change the world).
In 2016, skill tests were added to StartupJobs. Since, more than 23,526 job seekers have participated (equal to the number of citizens in Gibraltar).
Wow! StartupJobs reaches over a million visitors in a year!
The average number of views for an offer is 1,312.
StartupJobs celebrates its 5th birthday. During the celebration, Filip announces his exciting new plans to expand StartupJobs to more countries.
