Your Role at Vertice

Our DevOps Engineering team is the backbone of our innovation. We're responsible for the complete lifecycle of our cloud infrastructure and software development, from engineering to operations.

As a DevOps Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our cloud-based environment. You will:

  • Collaborate with peers and other teams to manage our deployment infrastructure.

  • Ensure the smooth daily operation of our customer-facing products and environments, with a focus on infrastructure, security, and operational excellence.

  • Tackle technical challenges head-on, from proactive troubleshooting and problem-solving to in-depth root cause analysis and implementing observability improvements.

  • Wear many hats in our fast-paced, early-stage environment. This means you'll be involved in everything from creating essential documentation to diving deep into complex technical issues within our AWS-powered platform.

  • Be based in Brno, we have hybrid mode.

Tech Stack You'll Work With

We don’t expect you to know everything, but here’s what helps you thrive in this role:

  • Background working in cloud platforms, preferably AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, RDS)

  • Hands-on with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) — ideally Terraform or CloudFormation

  • Comfortable with at least one development language, ideally Python

  • Solid experience with Linux systems administration in a cloud environment

  • Experience with config management tools like Ansible or Puppet

  • Understanding of databases – both SQL & NoSQL

  • Familiarity with CI/CD, GitOps, and containerization (e.g. Docker)
