The key to success is to complete it as carefully as possible. Therefore, go through all its sections, set your job search preferences and type in the most accurate information about your experience and skills.

1. A Header
The introductory header of your profile is what Recruiters see as the first thing. Fill in your full name and upload a suitable profile photo so that companies can remember you better. Keep in mind that your profile photo should be representative. We don’t recommend using photos from holidays, celebrations or from your bathroom. You can also include a short text in the header that describes who you are and what interests you. Like Mr. Shark!
2. Introduce yourself in the "About me" section
Do you want to show the HR staff why should they choose you? Fill in the section "About me" and attach files that tell as much about your previous experience as possible. Recruiters will certainly appreciate it if you upload a CV to your profile. Examples of your work will be also appreciated.
3. Set whether you are open to new opportunities
Are you looking for a job right away, or are you just looking around for new opportunities? Set how much are you looking for a job in our four-level scale, and let startups know about it! Based on your choice, we will also send you new job offers and tips.
4. Describe your motivation
You can describe what do you like about the startup environment in the section "Why do I want to work for a startup". Are you looking for a relaxed atmosphere, a friendly team or perhaps a dynamic work environment? Companies will appreciate candidates with a clear vision!
5. Set your preferences
In the section "Which job I am looking for" you can set the requirements that you have for your future position. Based on your preferences, we will then send you job offers, so you will only receive relevant ones.
- For example, you can fill in your preferred location - just start typing the name of a city, district, or street in the box.
- You can also choose the desired working time, classically full-time or part-time, but you can also set the exact number of hours per week.
- If you want to work externally, remotely or are looking for an internship, just tick one of the options.
- You can also determine the required seniority of position - we distinguish between junior and senior offers, but you can also choose offers without preference.
- If you already have an opinion on what your future reward should be like, you can mention it in your profile. Just enter the required pay - either per month or per hour.
6. Show off your knowledge
The “My Tested Skills” section automatically displays the results of all the tests you have taken on StartupJobs. And HR professionals will happily hire a candidate who can use his skills in practice! So try out our skill tests and show off your knowledge!
7. Mention your work experience and education
Fill in your relevant work experience in the profile - preferably from the most recent one back to the past. For each of the experience, fill in the name of the company and the position as well as the time period. Also, write down a few words about your job description so that it is clear to the HR professionals. Don’t forget to fill in your education as well.
8. Show off your skills
In the "My skills" section, mention everything you are really good at and have experience with. You can set a range of specific skills as well as “general” skills such as communication or presentation skills. You can then be approached by startups based on the skills you fill in your profile.
9. Let startups contact you
Be sure to include your contact information in your profile. It is necessary to fill in a valid e-mail address, but you can also add your phone number or a link to your social media profile (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or Github) - if you want startups to get to know you even better.
