We’re seeking a Senior Product Designer to own, drive, and oversee all design initiatives for our online web services, focusing on data processing, conversion, and upload. You’ll work in a product team alongside developers and a product manager. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with other designers within the company, contributing to and evolving our shared design system.
You can work from anywhere in Europe or join us in our newly renovated modern office in the center of Brno.
How we work
- We work in 2-week sprints.
- We plan development in Jira, as well as individual tasks.
- Our applications run in Docker containers, we version Ansible playbooks in Git and keep documentation in Confluence.
- Google Workspace is used for electronic communication (Chat, Meet, Email).
- The company's structure is based on the unFIX model, which helps innovation and agile development.
What you will do
- Improving the user experience of the MapTiler web service (primarily) and MapTiler Engine desktop application.
- Designing UX (primarily) and UI of new features.
- Collect, process, and execute customer feedback by conducting user interviews and validating prototypes.
- Create both functional and appealing designs that address our customers' needs and help us grow our customer base.
- Partner with the product manager and technical leads to define the product and collaborate with developers on implementation.
- Work on and contribute to our new product design system.
What we expect from you
- 5+ years of proven work experience as a Product Designer or a similar role.
- Excellent UI skills but even stronger UX foundation.
- Ability to clearly communicate design decisions using user research and data.
- Understanding that designing complex products serves a much higher purpose than just “looking good”.
- Deep knowledge of UX/UI laws, usability patterns, and research methods.
- Proficiency in prototyping to validate ideas and test designs.
- High attention to detail, consistency, and organization.
- A team player who collaborates on a common outcome.
- A strong drive for self-improvement, learning, and sharing knowledge.
Nice to have
- Professional-level experience with Figma.
- Knowledge of the map industry.
- Designing data processing services.
- Experience with Agile methodology.
