Do you enjoy traveling and want to work in a startup where your work truly helps people all over the world?

At Refundio, we help travelers obtain compensation for delayed and canceled flights. We are a Czech-Slovak startup and the highest-rated company in the field of passenger claims on the CZ / SK market. We are growing rapidly and are looking for a teammate who will help us push the boundaries of how effectively passenger rights are enforced.

We support travelers worldwide and help them receive the compensation they deserve when their flights do not go according to plan.

Position overview:

This role is ideal for a junior or medior lawyer, including a recent law graduate, who is eager to learn, take responsibility, and gain hands-on experience with litigation and court representation. You will be involved in the full lifecycle of legal cases against airlines, from case assessment and preparation to court hearings and cooperation with external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Slovak legal cases against air carriers from initial assessment to resolution
  • Prepare legal submissions, statements, lawsuits, and other procedural documents
  • Actively participate in and later independently represent the company at court hearings and other proceedings in Slovakia
  • Assess legal risks and support decision-making related to ongoing disputes
  • Communicate and cooperate with external law firms and legal partners
  • Collaborate closely with internal legal colleagues and other teams across Europe
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of internal legal processes related to litigation

What We’re Looking For

  • Law degree from a Slovak university (Faculty of Law)
  • Native Slovak speaker with good command of English for internal communication
  • Strong interest in litigation and dispute resolution
  • Willingness to actively represent the company in court proceedings
  • Previous experience with court representation or litigation is an advantage, but not required
  • Knowledge of EU aviation passenger rights (e.g. Regulation EC 261/2004) is a plus, but can be learned during onboarding
  • Proactive, responsible, and eager-to-learn mindset
  • Ability to work independently while being a strong team player

What We Offer:

  • Full-time position with a growing European legal-tech company
  • Hands-on experience with litigation and court representation from the start
  • Thorough onboarding and close cooperation with an experienced legal team
  • Opportunity to gradually take full ownership of the Slovak legal agenda
  • Long-term career growth, including the possibility to lead a legal team in the future
  • Office-based work in Prague during the onboarding period, with a potential transition to home office later
  • Occasional business trips to Slovakia (court hearings, typically a few times per month at most)
