TL;DR: React/TypeScript expert needed to modernize our frontend stack and provide technical leadership to frontend and full-stack engineers across our cross-functional teams. Make architectural decisions, set technical direction, and build the foundation for our next-generation product. Full-time120,000–160,000 CZK/month • Prague center or remote EU • Hybrid/flexible

About us

Realpad is a customer experience software for real estate developers across 12 countries. We're headquartered in Prague with teams in Budapest, Lisbon, and Belgrade. We're a young, ambitious, goal-oriented company that values personal freedom and continuous improvement.

To keep growing, we need a Frontend Lead who will take our products to a modern, best-in-class state. We want a beautiful, consistent, state-of-the-art frontend built on React and TypeScript.

Why this role exists

Realpad has grown alongside our customers — and so has our codebase. Right now, our product runs on a mix of server-rendered pages, older React code, and parts written in Vue. We use Vite and Tailwind, which work well, but our architecture needs unification.

We want to unify our frontend technologies, build a modern React + TypeScript foundation, use a lightweight design system, and empower our cross-functional teams to deliver with confidence and speed.

That's why we're opening the position of Frontend Lead — someone who will own Frontend at Realpad, set the direction, make key decisions, and lead us into the next era.

What you will do

You won't just write code. You'll shape our future.

Your responsibilities

  • Define our FE technology strategy — choose how our modern React stack will look (TypeScript, RSC, routing, UI approach).
  • Unify and refactor — bring our different product parts into one coherent FE ecosystem.
  • Help us select a component library / design system — not enterprise-heavy, but clean, functional, and empowering.
  • Provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams — you'll work with 1 FE engineer and 2 full-stack developers, setting frontend standards, mentoring engineers, and elevating their skills as the company grows.
  • Make architectural decisions that last — from state management to module boundaries and performance strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with the product team — we're small, fast, and decisions move quickly.
  • Stay hands-on — code, review, and shape development by example.

Who we are looking for

Someone who loves frontend and enjoys doing things the right way.

You should be someone who:

  • Is strong in React and TypeScript — and understands them deeply.
  • Has experience designing components, UI patterns, and frontend architecture.
  • Understands modern FE paradigms (React Server Components, code-splitting, bundling, performance).
  • Has led a team or owned a technical area before.
  • Isn't afraid of legacy code or challenging refactors — you see them as opportunities to build something better.
  • Can explain, mentor, influence, and defend technical decisions.
  • Has a strong sense of ownership and responsibility to deliver on assigned tasks in high quality and on time.
  • Is open-minded & driven. You're open to taking and giving feedback to improve yourself and the company. You're constantly looking for opportunities to grow and improve.
  • Is a team player, always willing to support colleagues and contribute to the team's overall success.

You don't need to be a "manager." We're looking for a technical leader who will influence the entire product.

What we offer

  • Real autonomy. You'll have actual influence over our FE direction and make decisions that shape the entire product.
  • Full-time position with flexible collaboration model — We offer both employment contract (HPP) and contractor agreement (IČO), based on your preference. Salary: 120,000–160,000 CZK/month based on experience.
  • Hybrid or fully remote work within the EU. We have a nice office in Prague center at Václavské náměstí — we'd be happy if you want to meet the team sometimes, but it's not required.
  • Products with real impact. Thousands of users rely on our tools — developers, sales teams, and customers.
  • Cross-functional collaboration — work with 3 engineers (1 FE, 2 full-stack) across product teams, and help grow frontend capabilities as the company scales.
  • Zero corporate layers. When you propose a change, you'll talk directly with the CTO.
  • The chance to build something that lasts — your work will become the FE foundation for the whole company.
  • Visible results. Every month you'll see how your decisions change our product.
  • A transparent environment where everyone has a voice and shares knowledge.
