We’re Logmanager — a Czech tech company helping organizations to understand their logs, secure their infrastructure, and keep operations running smoothly. Our product is used by enterprises, critical infrastructure operators, and companies who take system reliability and cybersecurity seriously. We’re growing, and with that comes the need to level up our product development and engineering organization.

We are looking for a Head of Engineering to lead and develop our engineering team, ensure product delivery quality, and help shape the technical direction of Logmanager going forward.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a development team of 10+ developers (backend, frontend, devops).
  • Define and refine engineering processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Define and align the team’s technical priorities and capacity with the product vision and the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • Drive architecture discussions and long-term technical strategy.
  • Balance hands-on engineering decision-making with leadership responsibilities.
  • Ensure the team ships high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code.
  • Build a culture of ownership, transparency, and open communication.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience leading engineering teams or tech leads (people management + technical leadership).
  • Strong understanding of modern software architectures, development workflows, and tooling.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and ship features in an iterative environment.
  • Comfortable working with backend-oriented tech stacks (we use a Linux, OpenSearch, Redis, ECS, Go, Python, PHP, networking, event processing stacks — familiarity with all is not required, good technical judgment is).
  • Someone who enjoys problem solving, not just maintaining tasks.
  • A leader who builds trust and accountability, not micro-management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with observability, logging, SIEM, cybersecurity, or infrastructure tools.
  • Previous experience scaling products or teams.
  • Ability to coach and develop senior developers.
