Software Test Engineer (Commodity Trading)

We are seeking a skilled Software Tester to join our team in a dynamic commodity trading house. Our team is responsible for the development of internal tools and applications used by our traders and other employees in their daily routines. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing automated tests to ensure the quality and performance of our software solutions.

What will be your responsibility?

Perform functional (smoke and regression) and integration testing of internal systems changes and fixes prior to production deployment
Create test analyses and document test scenarios based on JIRA specifications and consultations
Report discovered defects to developers and analysts, and contribute to solution design for identified issues within the scope of technical expertise
Test delivered fixes and verify the correctness of implemented solutions
Develop and maintain automated test scripts
Provide regular test status reports

What do we expect from you?

Good knowledge of testing techniques, methodologies, procedures, and tools
Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g. Playwright)
Knowledge of testing APIs with tools like Postman or similar, ideally in an automated context
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration and reaching agreement
Experience with CI/CD tools such, e.g. Gitlab or Jenkins and dashboards (Kibana, Grafana)
Proficiency in English, especially for working with technical documentation
Strong analytical and structured thinking, with the ability to design effective solutions and identify potential risks

What else will also help you to succeed?

Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools (e. G. GitLab CI)
Experience in the energy sector or commodity trading, with an understanding of market data, trading operations, and risk management.
