Software Engineer in Fraud Prevention (Python, Kotlin)

We are Resistant AI, a fast-moving, collaborative startup that builds and iterates quickly. Our mission is to protect AI and automation systems in financial services from manipulation and attack, preventing money laundering, fraud, synthetic identities, and other financial threats. This is the founding team's second (both successful) startup, and we are backed by Google Ventures, Index, Notion, and Credo Ventures.

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to help us build a cutting-edge backend for Transaction Forensics in a Prague-based team.

What you'll do

• Help us design and optimize the architecture of our solution, contributing to its robustness, scalability, and maintainability.
• Implement new features and solve complex problems using Python and Kotlin.
• Keep our solution safe and reliable by creating unit, integration, and security tests.
• Oversee service operations and manage frequent deployments.
• Share your knowledge by mentoring junior teammates and conducting thorough code reviews.
• Work closely with the research team and help with performance optimization.

What you'll use

• Modern Python (3.12), MyPy, Poetry, Kotlin (and some Rust if you want)
• AWS deployment using AWS CDK
• GitLab CI/CD

What you should have

• Pro-active approach and willingness to learn new things.
• Senior-level experience in an object-oriented language.
• Experience writing testable and maintainable code.
