Senior Process Automation & AI specialist for the Leading Automation Platform 💜 (fixed-term contract)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly autonomous Automation & AI Specialist to join our Business Processes & Systems team on a temporary basis to cover a maternity leave. In this high-impact role, you’ll be responsible for optimizing internal workflows, managing key business systems, and leveraging automation and technology to streamline operations.

It’s a great fit for someone with a solid understanding of automation and AI, who’s ready to apply and expand their knowledge in a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environment. You’ll work on initiatives that improve company-wide efficiency, drive smart process improvements, and scale automation within our Operations team and beyond.

What you'll do:

• Work closely with stakeholders and people across different teams to spot where things can run smoother – and then help make that happen.

• Analyze how existing processes work (or don’t), identify pain points, and design thoughtful automation solutions.

• Build and maintain automation workflows using Make (our own platform), integrating them with a variety of internal tools and systems.

• Explore where AI can help us work smarter – and test those ideas in real life, not just on paper.

• Be part of cross-team projects where you’ll help us automate and improve how things run behind the scenes at Make.

• Document what you build so it’s easy to use, scale, and pass on.

• Help define how we use automation and AI responsibly and efficiently – from best practices to governance.

• Stay curious: keep up with trends in automation and AI, and bring in fresh ideas.

• If you see something that can be improved, say it. If you know how to improve it, even better – let’s build it.

What We're Looking For

• You’ve got around 4–5 years of experience with automation tools (extra points if it’s Make!) and you know how to build flows that actually last.

• You’re curious about how AI can support and simplify workflows – and ready to test and apply it.

• You think in systems and love finding better ways to do things.

• You know what makes a workflow scalable, clean, and maintainable – and you build with that in mind.

• You’re a problem solver who can turn business needs into real technical solutions.

• You’re a great communicator, comfortable working with teams across departments and time zones.

• You like to learn new things fast – especially when it comes to tech.

• You take ownership and like working independently – but you’re also a team player who shares knowledge and ideas.

Bonus points if...

• You’ve worked in a SaaS company before.

• You’re familiar with agile or waterfall project management (or both).
