YOUR ROLE:

Design, implement and maintain AWS cloud based data processing pipelines with performance, reliability, scalability, security and costs efficiency in mind
Build continuous integration and delivery pipelines through established infrastructure as code frameworks
Cooperate closely with analysts and ML engineers to understand their data access patterns, design easy to use application interfaces to satisfy their demand
Mentor junior colleagues by providing guidance, sharing best practices, and supporting their professional growth
Lead technology decision-making by selecting and advocating for the most suitable tools, frameworks, and platforms to meet project needs and align with organizational goals.

YOU SHOULD HAVE:

University degree in Computer Science or related
5+ (3+) years of professional software engineering experience
Profound demonstrable knowledge of Python ecosystem
Excellence in DevOps practices, Continuous Integration (CI), and test automation
Professional knowledge of AWS cloud services, with a strong understanding of its pillars, standards, and best practices
Proficiency in any established Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks, such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or (preferably) Cloud Development Kit (CDK).
Strong team player with the ability to mentor and guide colleagues, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment

NICE TO HAVE:

Demonstrable experience with large-scale data analytics engines, such as Apache Spark, including hands-on expertise in processing and analyzing large datasets
Knowledge of Lakehouse architecture and the Delta ecosystem, including its standards and best practices for managing large-scale data lakes, ensuring data quality, and optimizing data processing workflows.
Professional or specialty AWS certification, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, or any other specialty certifications like AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty or AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
