Java Engineer

We're looking for a holistic and seasoned Backend Developer looking for freedom yet having a highly collaborative and open-minded attitude. You're not only a developer, you want to architect solutions, you care about security principles, you want to deal with IaC infrastructure (AWS), you're passionate about services observability, you like the underlying principles of crypto, you want to teach us something and you also want to learn something new, then we're looking for you.

We interact with crypto exchanges, we're operating and processing blockchain nodes, we're early adopters of the lightning network, our backlog is full of requests from our customers, we've insane amount of status quo breaking ideas, imagine all the fun :-)

Our way of working is fully-remote-ready but our desire is to find people who see a benefit in a hybrid way of working, willing to collaborate physically when it makes sense, for the benefit of a feature delivery. We've got no policy in that regard; whatever works, works.

 What you should bring to the table:

• Mastery of JVM and PostgreSQL (Java 17 at the moment, exploring Kotlin) 
• Proven track record of full-cycle backend development, including testing, integration, monitoring and maintenance
• Analytical thinking, highly organized mind. We don't have the capacity to micromanage, we need to rely on your abilities. 
• Strong ability to prioritize and choose your battles. Our technical debt needs to be deliberated and organized. 
• The willingness to be regularly giving (and receiving) constructive feedback. We are following the disagree & commit principle.

 Any of these is a plus:

• Experience in Kotlin backend engineering, willingness to teach us.
• Previous SW engineering experience in the crypto industry
• Proven track record of actively contributing to the OPS topics and infrastructure engineering. You should be somewhat "happy" in the Linux CLI :-).
• Familiarity with the backend technologies: Spring Boot, JPA, Maven
