What Merchantee is
Merchantee is the agentic automation layer that helps e-commerce sellers win on European marketplaces. We turn the thousands of pricing, campaign and marketing decisions a seller could never make by hand into automated, portfolio-level moves. Hundreds of companies across Europe already run on us — and our ambition is to build the platform that runs marketplace sales for Europe's largest players, and to become the most significant company in this segment on our continent. Marketplaces are the fastest-growing channel in e-commerce; this is building a category, at the front edge of where the whole industry is going.
What you'll own
The agentic pricing engine — portfolio-level pricing decisions, in real time, that have to be right.
Marketplace integrations (Bol, Amazon, Otto, Tiktok...) and the data pipelines behind them — the plumbing everything else depends on.
Scaling into new markets — new surface area, real deadlines, your code in production.
The whole stack when it matters. Small senior team, fast cadence, you own outcomes end-to-end — not tickets inside someone else's architecture.
AI as leverage. You'll build alongside AI agents and spend less time typing code, more time deciding what to build and designing systems that hold up under load.
Who you are
You've shipped production systems end-to-end and can point to them. Strong Python.
You leverage AI hard — but ground it in real engineering judgment. You know when the model is confidently wrong.
You own the outcome, not just your slice. You remove blockers even when they're outside your lane, and you're at home when the path isn't fully drawn yet.
You want to build complex systems and be part of something big — not babysit a codebase.
We don't need someone to hand-hold. We need someone who makes the team faster.
