Overview

QA Specialist plays an important part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products by conducting thorough testing throughout the development lifecycle. The role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to deliver software that meets or exceeds customer expectations.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, validate fixes, and maintain shared project understanding.
Design, maintain and document test plans, test cases, and test results; record and track defects with actionable details.
Execute manual and automated testing (functional, security, regression) and maintain automated test scripts.
Integrate and run automated test suites within the CI pipeline; ensure continuous verification of builds.
Conduct performance and load testing, analyze results, and work with the team to optimize scalability and reliability.
Participate in root-cause analysis, verify bug fixes, and contribute to improvements in testing processes and methodologies.
Communicate test status, risks, and quality metrics clearly to project stakeholders.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a QA Specialist or in a similar role.
Familiarity with software testing methodologies and best practices.
Experience with manual and automated testing tools.
Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools.
ISTQB or similar certification is an advantage.
Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
