The Head of Community owns how STRV shows up in the world—and how it feels on the inside. You are the pulse of our ecosystem, responsible for building deep, long-term relationships with the global tech world while treating our own people as our most vital community. This isn't just about managing a network; it’s about actively shaping a sense of connection, belonging, and shared identity that turns our culture into a true competitive advantage. We’re looking for someone to take the wheel starting ideally in May.
How You Fit In
We are looking for a strategic storyteller who doesn't wait for instructions. You are someone who understands that our community is a living product that requires a hospitality mindset and a focus on quality. You have a deep understanding of the tech landscape—you know what’s buzzing in the world of AI, Tech, and beyond - and you can translate that knowledge into a narrative that attracts top-tier talent and business partners. You identify opportunities for growth and take the lead. Whether you are working with ambassadors or shipping new merch, you view our internal community as the fuel for the STRV experience. Your goal is to turn "environment" into a strategic edge that keeps our best talent here. Most importantly, you are a culture-fit role model who can bridge the gap between STRV’s legacy and our future impact while maintaining a "Design Game Strong" mindset.
At STRV, Your Role Will Be to
Define and Drive Community Strategy: Own the vision for how STRV engages with the external tech world, identifying and prioritizing the communities that drive the highest brand and hiring impact
Partner with Tech Leads: Work side-by-side with our Engineering, Design, and Product heads to ensure our community initiatives are technically relevant and aligned with the latest industry trends
Curate Legendary Experiences: Lead the vision and get your hands dirty executing 30+ events - from STRV Talks and workshops to major holiday parties - making the most of our unique office spaces in Prague and Brno
Empower Community Ambassadors: Work closely with our internal writers, speakers, and open-sourcers to amplify STRV’s technical voice
Shape Internal Culture: Partner with the rest of People Ops members to co-own our internal community strategy, using data to ensure our culture isn't just felt, but measured through engagement and retention
Master Internal Communications: Lead our internal channels with total transparency and honesty, ensuring our culture stays aligned with our reputation
Oversee Visuals and Merch: Ensure every physical asset and touchpoint - from welcome kits to the merch collection - reflects our premium design DNA
Mentor and Coach: Lead and develop the Community & Events Specialist Barbora, ensuring she is growing and is aligned with the broader STRV strategy
Adopt New Skills: Play around, explore and learn. We are always updating our tooling and currently using Luma, Figma and various AI tools to make our lives easier

Deep Tech Fluency: A genuine interest in technology and an understanding of the tech community’s needs; you stay on top of news from the tech world and know what’s "buzzing". You know the difference between Java and JavaScript
Brand Storytelling & Narrative Skills: The ability to translate our values into a compelling story that resonates with both current team members and future hires
Strategic Empathy & Hospitality Mindset: You build initiatives based on what the team actually needs to succeed, thinking through every detail from the user’s perspective
Obsession with Quality: You naturally strive for more, treating the STRV brand as a premium product and maintaining the gold standard across all fundamentals
Operational Grit: A willingness to travel to Brno occasionally and attend both internal and external events to maintain a hands-on presence in the community
Data-Informed Thinking: The ability to take qualitative feedback and turn it into a quantitative strategy to strengthen the overall people experience
Our Hiring Process
We don’t believe in endless loops. Our process is designed to see your craft in action and ensure our standards align.
The First Spark: First off, you’ll grab a coffee at our Prague flagship with Kamila. It’s your chance to soak in the vibe and scout the landscape. She will show you around, giving you a look at the visible (and hidden) office gems you’ll hang out at with the community.
Show Us Your Craft: Time to see you in action. You’ll have 3 days to tackle a case study at home. Once finished, you’ll have a chance to present your outcomes to our CPO and your future direct manager Ondrej and to Katerina, who is currently handling all the responsibilities. This is the perfect moment to dive into the high-level strategy and ask the tough questions.
The Chemistry Check: Are we vibin’? You’ll meet your future peers and the Community & Events Specialist, your direct report to see how the team clicks. We’re big on culture, and we want to make sure you’re the leader they’ve been looking for.
The Vision Sync: The final step is a 30-minute session with our CEO, Lubo. This is all about the big picture—ensuring you fully grasp the vision for STRV’s physical footprint and the impact this role has on our global brand.
