Italian Localization Specialist
We are ROUVY, a leader in the augmented reality indoor cycling world, bringing the world’s most iconic routes to riders' homes. We are looking for a passionate and skilled Native Italian Localization Specialist to join our team on a long-term freelance basis. Your mission is to ensure our Italian content is authentic, technically accurate, and perfectly tuned for the Italian cycling community.
Your primary focus will be on elevating the quality of content across the entire ROUVY platform (app, website, and user portal), ensuring that every "Passo" and "Volata" feels right to our users.
Scope of Work
Localization & Quality Assurance: Translate, proofread, and edit texts for the ROUVY app, website, and rider portal, ensuring impeccable linguistic quality and cultural relevance for the Italian market.
Terminology Management: Lead the development and maintenance of the official Italian Glossary and Style Guide, establishing the "voice of ROUVY" in Italian.
Linguistic Consultation: Collaborate with our Localization and Product Content teams to ensure a consistent and user-friendly experience.
Proactive Improvement: Don't just spot typos, propose better phrasing, adapt cycling jargon, and improve UX copy to make the ride smoother for our users.
Requirements
Native Italian Speaker: Absolute command of the Italian language with a flair for writing.
Cycling Expertise: Deep knowledge of cycling culture, gear, and terminology. Being an active ROUVY user is a huge advantage. We want someone who knows what it feels like to climb the Stelvio in AR!
Professional Experience: Proven experience in localization, translation, or copywriting (ideally 2+ years).
Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for consistency, tone, and style.
Autonomy: Self-driven and proactive, able to manage a steady weekly workload independently.
Knowledge of CAT tools and UX writing principles is a plus.
Details of the Collaboration
Type: Long-term Freelance / B2B.
Commitment: Approximately 10–16 hours per week (flexible).
Work Style: Fully remote.
