Head of People and Culture
đź©· About us
At PLG Group, we connect people with culture — from concerts, theatre, and festivals to exhibitions and other live events across the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
PLG Czech Republic consists of three strong local brands with a long tradition: Ticketportal has been on the scene since 2002, GoOut since 2011, and Ticketstream since 2001. Our long-term goal is to provide partners and customers with simple access to every corner of cultural and sports life. On our platforms, everyone can find an event that is just right for them and purchase tickets immediately.
Thanks to the backing of an international company and the combined know-how of three connected local teams, we have access to top-tier technological capabilities. At the same time, our philosophy remains simple: we operate openly, creatively, and close to the people who create culture every day.
đź’š Your role
As a Head of People and Culture, you’ll contribute directly to our mission of connecting people with culture. You’ll have the space to take ownership, shape processes, and make a meaningful impact in your area of expertise.
What you’ll do:
Lead the People & Culture agenda for a post-merger organization bringing together two major ticketing platforms under one roof, and help shape one strong, shared culture across the business.
Drive the next phase of integration, with a strong focus on team alignment, cultural cohesion, and change adoption in a company of around 120 people.
Define and execute a People & Culture strategy that supports business priorities, reflects the company’s stage of growth, and balances long-term direction with immediate business needs.
Own and continuously refine the People roadmap, setting priorities based on business impact and making smart trade-offs across a broad HR agenda.
Lead and develop a team of 3, while having the space to shape the future structure of the function, including People Operations, People Experience, and hiring.
Act as a trusted partner to managers and leadership, providing support in organizational design, team effectiveness, performance topics, and day-to-day people decisions.
Build manager capability across the company and strengthen manager enablement so leaders are better equipped to lead teams, give feedback, navigate change, and make sound people decisions.
Serve as a role model for leadership, collaboration, and company values, while helping create an environment where people can do their best work.
Lead key topics across the full employee lifecycle, from hiring and onboarding to engagement, development, performance, and retention.
Ensure the company is ready for upcoming and ongoing compliance and governance challenges, including ISO certification, GDPR, ESG, and pay transparency.
Support organizational structure and workforce planning, helping managers build clear, effective, and scalable teams.
Bring structure, clarity, and consistency to People processes, while keeping a pragmatic and hands-on approach.
Prepare reporting and communicate effectively with both local stakeholders and the Estonian board, in close partnership with leadership.
What we’re looking for:
Solid senior experience in People / HR leadership, ideally with at least 8+ years in HR and 3+ years in a strategic leadership role.
Proven experience leading People in a post-merger, transformation, or integration environment; experience from scale-ups or fast-changing companies is strongly preferred.
Strong background as an HR Business Partner with the ability to connect people topics to business priorities and support leaders through growth and change.
Broad HR expertise across both strategic and hands-on topics, including compliance, organizational design, talent, hiring, engagement, and performance management.
Experience building or scaling a People function in an environment where not everything is fully set up yet, and where prioritization matters.
Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and risk-related People topics, with confidence in areas such as GDPR, governance, policy setting, and audit readiness.
Familiarity with or direct experience in ESG, pay transparency, and certification-driven environments is a big plus.
A strong people leader who can lead, coach, and develop a small team, while also stepping in directly where needed.
Someone with high ownership and sound judgment, who can decide what matters most now and focus energy on the highest-impact initiatives.
Strong change management skills and the ability to bring structure, calm, and clarity in a dynamic post-merger context.
Executive presence and confidence working with senior leadership and board-level stakeholders.
Strong communication skills in both Czech and English — Czech is essential for day-to-day business, and English is needed for communication with the Estonian board.
A pragmatic, business-minded, and human approach: someone who can combine compliance and structure with culture, engagement, and leadership support.
