Celestia Energy is a Czech startup that aims to revolutionize the energy industry through wireless energy transmission using lasers. Our technology allows drones to stay in the air indefinitely, deliver energy to areas affected by natural disasters, and support lunar missions in any environment. We are a young company supported by ESA BIC and CzechInvest, based in the laser ecosystem of Dolní Břežany, and our goal is to one day supply energy for the lunar economy.  🧩 Who we are looking for

We are looking for an engineer with experience in control systems (control engineer), specifically in the fields of robotics, drones, or automotive.

✅ Master's/PhD degree in electrical engineering, control engineering, robotics, mechatronics, or a related field
✅ Experience with Python/C/C++/VHDL/Verilog
✅ Experience (3+ years) in motor control systems, including designing and implementing controls for electric motors in applications such as robotics, automotive industry, or industrial machinery.
✅ Expertise in developing control algorithms, especially for systems requiring simultaneous control of multiple motors, with a focus on synchronization, precision, and fast response.

Nice to have: experience with FPGAs, drones, embedded systems, MATLAB/Simulink

 🔧 What you will be working on

🚁 Development of systems for controlling in-flight drone recharging
🧭 Design of control algorithms, including their testing and implementation.
 Analyze system dynamics using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink for modeling feedback loops, PID controllers, and state-space representations.
💡 Collaboration on the development of technologies related to long-distance wireless energy transmission using lasers
