Hi, we are Datamole—a culture-centric company founded ten years ago to help clients become truly data-driven. Over time, we have built strong expertise in data engineering, and three years ago expanded our footprint by establishing the Brno Data Engineering department focused on AWS-native solutions.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking new talent to help build a next-generation data platform for a long-standing Dutch client in the public transport sector. In this role, you will work with AWS and Databricks to build and operate data pipelines as part of a small, experienced cloud engineering team.

Your Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy data-oriented software solutions (primarily using Python and SQL).
Maintain, optimize, extend, and adapt data pipelines and models to ensure scalability and reliability.
Communicate and collaborate with other engineers, managers, and stakeholders.
Create and maintain technical documentation and provide technical support to users and fellow developers.

Requirements

Collaborative mindset with a focus on open communication, trust, and shared responsibility.
University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
3 years of professional experience in software development.
Solid understanding of Software Engineering principles
Proficiency in Python 3, SQL and Git
Professional working proficiency in English

Nice to Have

Additional years of professional software engineering experience beyond the requirements.
Expertise in technologies within our tech stack:
- Databricks
- Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Apache Spark
- Amazon Web Services ecosystem
- IaC and CI/CD tooling: Terraform, GitHub Actions, Databricks Asset Bundles
- Containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (e.g. EKS)
- Monitoring stack: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus and Grafana
- Machine Learning and AI concepts
