Rules for Advertising on StartupJobs

  1. Communication

    All communication from StartupJobs to Customers is directed to the contact email and phone number provided in their profile. Please ensure this information is kept up to date.

    Candidates may apply only through the application form on StartupJobs. External links to the company’s career page, personal application forms, or contact details are not allowed in job postings. If the Customer wishes to redirect applicants to their internal system, they may set up a webhook or connect via API. More information is available on the relevant page.
  2. Job Offers

    All Offers are subject to approval by the Provider, who reserves the right to edit them, particularly by removing links and contact details and adjusting the category and type of employment to best match the advertised position.

    Approval typically occurs within two business days. Once approved:

    After the Offer is approved, the ad is published:

    • Free Offers are displayed only on the Customer’s profile.
    • Paid Offers are displayed in relevant categories.
    Offers are valid for 30 days and pricing is governed by the current Price List. Offers may be paused during this period, but the expiration date remains unchanged.

    The following rules apply to Offers:

    1. Job titles must not be written in all caps.
    2. Offers must contain only truthful and current information, especially regarding the type and form of cooperation.
    3. Titles and descriptions should be neutral with regard to gender, race, etc., to comply with anti-discrimination laws.
    4. Source code modifications are prohibited. Layout or design changes must be approved and implemented by the Provider.
    5. No external links or contact information may be included in Offers.
    6. The content of the Offer may be edited during its validity, but the field of the advertised job must not change.
    7. Each Offer may advertise only one job position.

    In case of repeated violations of these rules, the Provider reserves the right to terminate the Offer without compensation.

    Automatic extension of Offers may be enabled, which occurs upon Offer expiration. Notice of the automatic extension is sent to the registered contact email.

    Automatic extension settings may be changed at any time in the Customer's admin interface.

    After auto-renewal, a standard invoice with a 14-day due date is issued. If the Customer has prepaid Offers, the renewal is deducted from the credit. The price remains the same as for insertion or manual renewal.

    All paid Offers are subject to a satisfaction guarantee. If no candidate applies during the full validity (minimum 30 days), and the Customer has met all rules, one Start Offer will be credited to their account. This must be claimed within 10 days of expiration and is not legally enforceable.

    So-called Free Offers may only be used by companies that utilize our career page solution. If a Customer wishes to start using our career page solution, they should contact our support team at support@startupjobs.com. Once compliance with the rules is confirmed, the ability to publish Free Offers will be enabled.
  3. Copywriting

    Customers may order copywriting services for their Offers. Requirements for copywriting include:

    • Completion of a questionnaire with additional questions.
    • Submission of the original job description or position summary.

    Unless otherwise agreed, the new text will be written in Czech and delivered within three business days after completing the questionnaire.

    Pricing is governed by the current Price List.
  4. Job Ad Boost

    Job Ad Boost highlights the Offer with a "HOT" badge in the list of Offers until the end of its validity.

  5. Ads campaigns

    Ads campaigns are created on Meta and Google Ads unless agreed otherwise. If the Customer wishes to use only one platform, they must notify support before the campaign starts.

    If the Customer wants to use their own visuals, they must submit 1080x1080px files to support@startupjobs.com

    Campaign results are provided upon request after the campaign ends.

  6. Banner Ads
    Banners must be provided by the Customer in the required format and by the agreed deadline. All banners must be approved by the Provider.
  7. Profile on Home Page

    Company logos may be displayed on the StartupJobs homepage. Visibility lasts 365 days from purchase and, if multiple companies purchase the space, logos are rotated randomly on page load.

  8. Coupons

    Discount coupons may be used under the following rules:

    • Percentage discount coupons cannot be applied to already discounted products.
    • Coupons are not redeemable for cash.
    • Coupons cannot be combined.

    Coupons may be limited by:

    • date,
    • eligible products,
    • or number of uses.
  9. Volume Distounts

    Customers may prepay Offers and promotion services (Job Ad Boost or Ads Campaign) via the StartupJobs e-shop at a volume discount. Prepaid Offers are tied to the entity that purchased them and are non-transferable unless agreed otherwise.

    Prepaid items are valid for one year from the date of purchase.

  10. Payment Terms

    Orders and invoices can be canceled within 24 hours.

    The due date for invoices is 14 days unless agreed otherwise.

    Customers can pay immediately by card or choose to pay via invoice (by card or bank transfer).

    Auto-renewed Offers are invoiced with a 14-day due date.

    If a Customer has a good payment history, Offers may be approved immediately. If an invoice is more than 14 days overdue:

    • Payment by card is required for immediate activation. Alternatively, support may provide a proforma invoice. After payment, a standard invoice is issued.
    • Auto-renewal is paused for overdue accounts. To re-enable auto-renewal, the Customer must purchase prepaid Offers.
    • Invoices more than 30 days overdue are handed over to a debt recovery agency.
  11. Companies and Eligibility
    Only technology and innovation-oriented companies that aim to move the world forward may advertise on StartupJobs. A special startup program is available to help early-stage companies grow.

    A company profile is published upon approval of the first Offer.

    If a company has not advertised in over two years, the Provider may delete its profile.

    All companies undergo an approval process. The Provider may deny advertising to any entity that could damage the StartupJobs brand or does not meet the tech/innovation focus.

    Recruitment agencies, headhunters, etc., are not allowed to advertise - only direct employers may post Offers.

    Companies may not apply to other companies' Offers. If they do, their profile may be blocked and deleted.

    Companies may only contact candidates regarding the Offer under which the candidate's profile was accessed. Contact for marketing or unrelated purposes is prohibited.
