Where do we fit in?

Airline distribution is undergoing a disruptive overhaul - after decades of relying on GDS (Global Distribution Systems) to connect them with travel agencies, they are taking back control and ownership of commercial relationships. GDS have enjoyed an unshakeable oligopoly increasingly becoming expensive for the airlines as well as slow and outdated when it comes to technology. These commercial aspects as well as GDS' lack of technical capabilities to cope with today's e-commerce needs led IATA (global airline association) to introduce a connectivity standard called NDC (New Distribution Capability). Basically, an API standard for travel sellers to connect directly with the airlines bypassing the GDS. 

Just like GDS aggregate hundreds of airlines into a single platform (so agencies need just 1 connection, not hundreds), similarly, the NDC needs technical players to come in and enable agencies to utilize this new, cheaper, and modernized channel. That's where AirGateway's coming in! 

Solution to pain points

We have developed a platform for travel agencies to easily connect to dozens of NDC airlines, simplifying and enhancing their daily work as well as improving their profitability (direct NDC connections provide better ticket prices than what's available in GDS, because airlines don't need to pay GDS in the channel). 

All in one screen with built-in connectivity to seamlessly plug into an agency's established processes. No need for technical integrations, onboarding takes no time. 

Our team

The team is still fairly small (about 15 people right now) but we have already achieved more than competing players with far greater resources. The headquarters are in Berlin but most of the team works remotely across Europe.

We have two key people working from Brno and looking to expand the team here!
