The successful candidate will focus on transitioning configurations to a highly segmented functional framework, securing critical internal infrastructure, and advancing documentation and automation workflows toward maximum operational efficiency. This position requires ensuring that day-to-day operations adhere to stringent security standards and support project environments requiring compliance with frameworks such as NIST SP 800-171.
How You'll Integrate into Our Circuit
- Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot secure network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN systems.
- Implement and enforce security controls across defined network zones, including the DMZ and isolated compliance environments.
- Perform regular network monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure maximum performance and uptime.
- Develop and implement network security policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard company assets and data.
- Conduct periodic security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and remediate potential security risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define and implement network and security requirements for new projects and initiatives.
- Actively manage and evaluate network automation workflows utilizing tools such as Ansible and Git.
- Author and maintain comprehensive standard operating procedures, Layer 2 and Layer 3 network diagrams, and technical articles within Confluence.
How You Can Pass the Testbench
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of one (1) year of professional, hands-on experience in network engineering.
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, VLAN segmentation, VPNs, DNS, firewalls, and network access control architectures (802.1x, RADIUS).
- Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Practical experience with enterprise-grade switch and firewall configurations (e.g., Cisco networking platforms) and VPN gateways.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCNP Security, or equivalent technical credentials.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), scripting languages, and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible).
